Instructional Strategy
Since the topic is a language beginner level, introducing new vocabulary and terms becomes easier through digital media and audiovisuals. I used the tools to present the topics and add to them each time to ensure smooth ad connected information. For example, the interactive module teaches the months and seasons and then the animated video teaches the seasons and climate. I ensured that most of the media contain interaction as much as possible according to the capacity of the tool.

Digital Document: Infographic
This infographic describes the days of the week and the two main time periods of the day (morning and night). I tried to use colourful elements and a theme that reflects the nature of the topic taking into account the visual design principles.
Similarly, in the other infographic that presents the gender nouns in Egyptian Arabic and how to differentiate between them giving them the Pharaonic Egyptian theme.

Original Digital Video
In this video, learners are introduced to telling time in Egyptian Arabic in a simple way. Egyptians tell time in analogue form so I used clocks images and animations to support the content presentation. This topic is considered one of the uneasy topics in most languages so a video to introduce the idea before practice is a good idea. I added a matching activity in the end to make the video more interactive.
I published my video on Youtube and added revised closed captions.

Screencast/ Animated Video
In this video, learners can use phrases describing climate in different seasons. They are also introduced to the climate in Egypt in each season. I ended the video with a question to apply what they learnt on the weather and climate of their home country. Animation videos are fun, catchy and informative which makes learners learn faster and gives the sense of storytelling.

Interactive Module
This lesson about months and seasons of the year is introduced in an interactive and attractive way to help learners learn the new terms by listening and understanding easier.
I added some easy quizzes to assess their knowledge as well as 2 interactions for learning.

The portfolio was not able to upload the HTML file so I put it on an LMS and provided a learner username and password as well as a video.

Enhanced Image: Logo
This is the logo of the language hub offering the course. It is inspired from the Egyptian symbol "cartouche" which I made it to resemble a dialogue box since Egyptian Arabic is a spoken language on the first level. You will also notice that the bottom of the cartouche represent the colours of the Egyptian flag. I built up the cartouche from basic geometric shapes, resized it and changed the outline to dotted and added the dialogue arrow, I also changed the colour and hues to match the colours of Egyptian architecture.
