Overview

   A course that discusses time management benefits and challenges in elementary classroom focusing on issues that are common in this age groups.

Problem

   In a classroom with many children with various personalities, experiences and challenges, some teachers, especially with less experience inside classrooms may find it challenging to manage the session time to deliver the content, manage the classroom, and accomplish the objectives successfully. Therefore, teachers at entry level and those who face this challenge inside classrooms need a course to help them with practical tips and real-world scenarios to overcome that difficulty.

Solution

  First, I reviewed what time management means and discussed the benefits of time management inside a classroom. I presented real-life scenarios with the expected shortages in detail and some solutions.

Learning Strategy:

   This course is tailored for teachers, so they know the basics in that topic. That is why, I added activities that let them interact in the learning material to share and refresh their prior knowledge. The slides contain different types of interactions that allow learners to recall information, share thoughts and opinions, build new knowledge, make conclusions and apply learning. I included interactive ideas and images to set up the atmosphere to the learners and make them have the ownership and choices and become a part of the course and not just audience.
